ATTENDANCE

The meeting was attended by five students, Mr. Hoffman, and Mr. Snyder. Three additional students who wished to attend were unable to do so because of a scheduling conflict.

INTERNET WAIVERS

Members were asked to print out and complete an Internet Waiver form. A link to this form can be found at the bottom of the West Branch home page. If you do not submit an Internet Waiver form, we will not be able to use your name or photograph on the Engineering Club's website.

ACTIVITY PREFERENCES

The club website (wbec.org) lists many Field Trip Ideas and Engineering Competitions in which the club could participate. In order to find out which of these possibilities the club members are most interested in exploring, an Engineering Club Preferences Sheet was given to each student. These sheets should be completed and turned in at the next meeting. If you were unable to attend the meeting, please get a preference sheet from Mr. Hoffman.

BOOK PREFERENCES

The Books section of our website (wbec.org) contains lists of science and technology related AR Books and Non-AR Books that are not currently available in the West Branch library. If you would like to see more science and technology related books in the library, please review the book lists on the website and enter your favorite book titles on the Engineering Club Preferences Sheet. We will then collect your lists and submit them to the librarian along with a request that she consider ordering some of these books and the corresponding AR quizzes.

NEXT MEETING

Mr. Hoffman is planning to schedule the next meeting for a regular activity period so that everyone can attend. The date and time of the next meeting will be posted in the Upcoming Events section of this website as soon as it has been determined.

IMPORTANT

Our field trip and/or competition choices will be strongly influenced by the feedback that you provide on the Preference Sheets. If you want your preferences to be considered, you must turn in your preference sheet at the next meeting! If you don't have a preference sheet, please see Mr. Hoffman as soon as possible.

MEMBERSHIP AND ELECTIONS

We are still accepting new members. Students who were unable to attend this meeting are welcome to attend the next meeting and become members. Mr. Hoffman will be coordinating the election of club officers at the next meeting.
